Good afternoon Karen.
Just a quick note to tell you how much we enjoyed our fishing trip. My parents (66 and 70) caught their first Alaska King Salmon and Halibut… My mom just keeps raving about how special the trip was Ben and Bobby were excellent. At one point my dad was reeling in a huge Halibut and Ben was right there with him and Bobby was spotting him from behind, My dad had no idea but I did. My mom caught a King and it ran to the front of the boat I was amazed to see how agile my mother can be when a fish is involved. The weather wasnt the greatest but no matter fish were caught and my parents were absolutly thrilled.
This is a memory I will always cherish watching my dad catching fish in Alaska always was a dream of his. When mom caught her’s Bobby was right there to sit her on the cooler bring out a rain jacket for her lap and put that fish in her lap and made sure she got a picture with it, just super I am getting teared up thinking about it. I am enclosing a few pictures I hope you can feel the excitement that was ever present..

Dear Mike and Karen,
What an excellent and wonderful time we had fishing in Sitka —– skipper Gary was great — we caught 4 King Salmon and one Coho — I called it a good day of fishing, Gary said it was a great day of fishing – the kids agree!!!!
My youngest grandson (a child who was born to fish) Bobby (12 years old) caught a 30 plus pound King Salmon (3 feet long) and was ecstatic about it —– told everyone on the cruise ship about Big Blue, the big fight he had to catch the King Salmon and when he was finished talking about it, the fish had grown to almost 40 pounds (and is continuing to grow as I write this email)!!!!
My oldest grandson Tommy (13 years old) caught a 25 pound King salmon — Also very excited about the catch ….he wasn’t into fishing before Sitka but now he is.
My oldest son Bobby, another one that loves to fish, caught a 20 to 25 King salmon and talked about the excitement of the catch – he impressed his wife (they were married in September last year) …. His wife Julie caught a Coho, somewhat small, but she and big Bobby hooked into a very (very, very) large King Salmon but it broke the line and got away (now we’ll hear about the one that got away every time we talk about Sitka fishing!!!)
My youngest son Johnny, made the first catch of the day a half hour into fishing – a 20 to 25 pond King salmon — he is my quiet one but this day he was talking a mile a minute about fishing ………. And wants to go out again …………
Fishing is truly a wonderful thing to do as a family and what a great person skipper Gary was with all my family …. Please Thank him personally for me again
We promised Gary that we would send our fishing pictures to you – once the kids get organized we’ll send them to you ….. right now they are talking to Grandma Lill (my wife) about going to Alaska again next year …. Specifically Sitka ….. Grandma Lill wants to fish next year in Sitka!!!
Please know this from the bottom of my heart – as their father and grandfather I was overjoyed with the happiness that abounded on this fishing trip. This was a wonderful time together, fishing in Sitka ….. we’re already planning a Sitka trip for next year !!!! Thank You

” Just wanted to let you know that we had a wonderful time on our trip July 3rd and 4th. My Dad loved catching the king. Also would like to let you know that if it wasn’t for your excellent packaging we would have lost the fish on the return trip due to airline screw ups. My Dad received his fish in Denver 1 1/2 days later and it was still frozen thanks for the good job all around. Also your crew was very very good.“
